Community of Poe

Project Status: Construction is complete for west side of St. Mary’s river.  East side is in progress.

Project Summary: Construction began on March 13th, 2017. Outside of the failed river crossing, the work associated with the project is primarily complete. Certified ‘Notice to Connect’ were issued March 19th, 2018 giving homeowners 90 days to get hooked up to the sewers.

Work is complete at the Mill Road Estates pump station and the pump station passed its start-up inspection on May 1st.

The remaining outstanding item is the completion of the force main. In order to complete the crossing, the contractor has engaged a specialty boring contractor to complete the rock-like nature of the soils under the river. This work is scheduled to begin at the end of August.

Assuming the river crossing work is completed in a timely manner, we anticipate being in a position to order Connections on the east side of the river in late September.
